Hi ive adopted a 5/6 year old cavalier, shes fantastic but just one problem she snatches treats, any ideas?

Shes great laid back back, house trained, great with my other king charles (in pic) but today caught my finger! Although I havent children of my own I have nieces and friends kids that visit please help! She adorable otherwise!

She needs to learn how to respect you around food.
Do you make her wait for her dinner? If not, when you feed her, put her bowl on the floor and have her sit, only for about 3 seconds, then allow her eat her dinner.
As at the moment, she is the owner of the food and you need to correct this.

With the food snatching I would recommend clicker training. (Purchase one of these http://www.arcatapet.com/fullsize/11116.jpg). Have your dog sit, and hold the treat in the palm of your hand and in your head count to 4. If your dog remains sitting and does not try to get the treat/food then click and praise, but reward with a different treat. If she does try to get the food, then say a firm no, put the dog back in position, and try again. Eventually increase the time you have her wait.
